We’re Passionate About Flight Data

Founded in 2015, Airdata UAV was initially built to provide crash-prevention information and give pilots much broader data than typically captured in a logbook. Today we provide a comprehensive drone fleet management operation platform, helping tens of thousands of small-to-large drone fleet operators in nearly 200 countries around the world.

We are a committed team of drone enthusiasts with a mission to help keep your aircraft 'airworthy' by analyzing, identifying, and predicting critical failures and optimizing flight performance.

Data nerds at heart, we have extensive experience building software for virtualizing systems in the cloud, automating data centers, and in designing advanced analytics. Our California-based team has background in military UAV projects and collective experience from leading technology companies like Intel, Citrix, Oracle, Splunk, Amdocs, Hyperion and Sun Microsystems.

Leadership

Eran Steiner

Founder & CEO

Eran began working with drones while serving in the Israeli military. He founded Airdata UAV (formerly HealthyDrones), with a vision to provide pilots with new insights from UAV flight data. Prior to founding Airdata UAV, he was responsible for the Cloud Stack platform at Accelerite (spin-out of Citrix). He has held positions at Citrix working on their cloud platform and at Oracle as a technical architect. He has also worked on teams building software to help Fortune 500 companies manage the performance of highly complex and distributed IT infrastructures. In addition, Eran has held various product and engineering roles at Sun Microsystems, Sphera, Amdocs and DEC.

Zev Laderman

Executive Chairman

A seasoned technology executive with a successful track record of building companies, he was the first investor in WIX (NASDAQ: WIX) and served as their initial chairman. He also was a founder of Newvem, a provider of Cloud usage analytics, where he helped the company grow to a successful acquisition by Datapipe. He served as CEO of Aduva (sold to Sun Microsystems) and CEO of Tradeum (sold to VerticalNet). Earlier in his career, Zev held various positions at Oracle. He holds LLB and LLM degrees in Law from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Bill Gaylord

Board Member & Advisor

Bill brings extensive experience from market-leading software companies. Most recently, he served as SVP of business development at Splunk (NASDAQ: SPLK), the leader in machine-data analytics, where he was responsible for building the partner ecosystem and was an integral member of the executive team that took the company through a successful IPO in 2012. Previously, he was VP of corporate development at Hyperion Solutions (acquired by Oracle 2007). He had held various executive positions at other technology start-ups and began his career at Oracle. Bill holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an AB from Dartmouth College.
